Caring for Your Wooden Board

Daily Wipe down with a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap. Never soak. Never put it in the dishwasher — heat and prolonged moisture will crack even the best joinery.
Weekly Wipe with a damp cloth, then dry standing on its edge so air can move on both faces.
Monthly Oil with food-grade mineral oil. Pour a small puddle in the center, work it across the entire surface with a clean cloth (with the grain), and let it sit overnight. Wipe off any excess in the morning.
Seasonal When the wood looks thirsty (lighter color, slightly rough feel), give it a board-cream treatment — mineral oil plus beeswax. This rebuilds the protective layer.
A cared-for board outlasts the cook.
